1. Introduction
Welcome to Studio Muse. By booking or attending any appointment at Studio Muse, you (the “Client”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms govern our services and your relationship with us.
2. Booking & Confirmation
- Appointments may be booked online, by phone, via SMS, or by email.
- To hold certain appointments (e.g. colour transformations, major services, or high-demand slots), a non-refundable deposit may be required — this will be communicated at the time of booking.
- The Client agrees to provide accurate contact details at the time of booking.
3. Service Scope & Pricing
- All bookings include a full consultation, as well as wash & finish styling for cuts, or wash, colour/toner, and blow-dry for colour services.
- Published prices are based on shoulder-length hair. Final pricing may vary depending on hair length, thickness, density, and desired result.
- For full transparency and to ensure the best result, a thorough consultation is required prior to commencing any service. This may include a strand test (especially for clients with previous box- or DIY-colour).
4. Colour & Chemical Services / Waiver
- For major colour transformations (e.g. bleach, lightening, dramatic tone changes), a colour waiver must be signed before the service begins.
- If you have previously used box dyes, DIY colouring, or other chemical treatments, you must disclose this at consultation to ensure safety and suitability.
5. Cancellation, Reschedule & No-Show Policy
As a one-on-one service salon, we reserve your time especially for you. Thank you for your understanding.
Changes or reschedules more than 7 days from your appointment will receive a full deposit refund.
Changes or reschedules within 7 days will forfeit their deposit (ie non-refundable).
Late arrivals: We ask that clients arrive on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to adjust or reschedule your appointment; original pricing may still apply, and this may affect the scope of the service we can deliver.
6. Service Satisfaction & Follow-up Adjustments
- If you are not happy with your colour service, please contact us within 7 days of your appointment — we will happily provide a complimentary adjustment with the same colourist, subject to scheduling.
- Please note: We do not provide refunds on services rendered.
- Adjustments requested after the 7-day window may be subject to additional charges.
7. Client Responsibilities & Hair Condition
- Clients must disclose any previous chemical treatments (box dye, bleach, extensions, keratin, etc.) before booking — failure to do so may void our guarantee.
- For major changes (e.g. significant lightening, balayage, complex colour), we may require a strand test to ensure hair health and suitability.
- Clients should follow our recommended home hair care products/aftercare advice to maintain the health of their hair and longevity of the results.
8. Deposit & Payment
- Deposit requirements will be communicated at time of booking. If required, full deposit payment may be needed to confirm the booking.
- Deposits are credited against the service on the day of the appointment.
- Deposit forfeiture may occur under the cancellation terms above.
- Final payment for the service is due at the time of service completion.
9. Liability & Salon Conduct
- Studio Muse takes care to use professional products, tools, and techniques — but we cannot guarantee results indefinitely. Hair grows, we cannot control at-home care, and hair condition may change over time.
- Studio Muse is not liable for damage caused by failure to follow aftercare instructions or by external factors after the service (e.g. sun exposure, chemical contact, extreme styling).
- Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. While we take every care, we are not responsible for items lost, damaged or stolen while on the premises.
10. Health & Hygiene
- If you are unwell or experiencing contagious symptoms (cold, flu, infection), please reschedule your appointment. We reserve the right to refuse service to protect our staff and other clients.
- Please arrive with clean hair if possible — excessive residue buildup may affect the outcome and may require a wash prior to service. Additional charges may apply for extra preparation time.
11. Gift Vouchers & Retail Products
- Gift vouchers are accepted as payment for services and products. The voucher value will be applied to your final bill.
- All retail products are sold “as is.” We do not offer refunds once products have left the salon — except if the product is faulty.
12. Changes to Terms & Waiver
- Studio Muse reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of changes via email or through updates on our website.
- By booking or attending an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
